Hi, I’m Lucia, the proud owner of Bark & Broom! I’m a retired veterinary technician with five years of experience specializing in small animal care. I run this business alongside my husband, who is a practicing surgical veterinary technician. Together, we’re passionate about helping pet parents provide the best care for their furry, scaly, and feathered companions.

Bark & Broom was born from a desire to bridge the gap I saw while working in veterinary medicine. Many of my clients struggled to balance giving their pets the love and attention they deserve while managing busy lives at home and the rising costs of pet care. This weight was multiplied on their shoulders when their pets got sick. I also noticed an increasing need for in-home nursing care and veterinary technician services for pets, and I knew I wanted to make a difference.

Growing up, I worked as a housekeeper at Star Cleaning Company in Atlanta, GA, to help support my family. This early experience inspired me to combine my background in professional housekeeping with my veterinary expertise to create a business that supports both pets and their parents.
